A trip down memory lane- Poverty2Solutions

A trip down memory lane.

Has it really been almost 4 years?

Time has passed so quickly.

I can’t believe we are still here.

Surely this is a testament of the work we are doing.

Three groups who, geographically are miles apart are closer than ever and united through their common goal.

We rub along quite well together.

Our vision is to put the voice of lived experience of poverty at the heart of policy making.

Our methods are participatory.

It’s quite clear that by merging areas of expertise we have the potential to transform lives.

Coming together is key and has been crucial for our success.

We are proud of our journey to date.

We have had highs and we have had lows.

The Labour Party conference – a stage to formally launch our campaign.

What an opportunity to showcase our skills and expertise.

Dylan was a star – excited and nervous but a tribute to us all.

Kath ‘nobbling’ people – she knows everyone

Angela – never afraid to chat to others

The influencing meetings – all that planning and preparation and the anticipation of making the most of our very short time with key MP’s

Some fabulously received, others more difficult to manage.

We pride ourselves on visualising our ideas and issues through graphic design.

Thanks to all who designed our T-shirts and bags - hours were spent sweating over the print machines.

We are awesome at developing solutions – all our ideas are listened to.

We are proud of our diverse and unique skills.

And for that, we are stronger

Ours is a collective voice

We will not be silenced and we will not shy away.
